Loggers Coaches
Helping Players Thrive In and Through Rugby
The Loggers bring extensive coaching experience to players, to develop with more individual attention over each player’s development period. Our coaching community includes former international players, USA national age-grade coaching – and four coaches qualified with the highest credentials offered by USA Rugby.
Our ‘College of Coaches’ model and culture are unique: We challenge ourselves with a co-equal mission: Competitiveness x Continuous Development, where player selection, positioning and strategy are based on long-term development, in balance with the match-day opportunities.
Here, a ‘core’ group of coaches share responsibility for overall performance, with each individual coach assigned to particular facets of program performance on a rotating basis. This encourages coaches to grow and improve from the experience with others. And, provides up-and-coming coaches the opportunity to grow. The multi-coach model delivers more individual attention to players. And, in keeping collegial conversations going, we find a balance between formulary ‘structured’ play, and empowering each individual player to make smart decisions and express themselves athletically.
Our core coaches are regularly supplemented with visiting ‘guest’ coaches from clubs, collegiate and professional programs. Their expertise and fresh perspective encourages every player and coach to continuously improve.
